Gepetto
The stacking chair Gepetto is a continuation and manifestation of the 20 years of prosperous collaboration between NC and the studio. Fragments and form elements were consciously sampled from older projects. You can find the shape of the “knob” from the Rialto chair. You see the bow shape from the rocking skids of the Tilt chair.
The idea behind the characteristic “elbow-rests” is based on my interest in how people behave and what they do when sitting in different kinds of settings and contexts. When using your mobile, this chair offers a resting position.
